Credit Analyst Assistant

JOB DUTIES
  • Request financial documents from loan officers and administrators if needed
  • Keep track of missing documents on pertinent credits via Credit Analysis checklist
  • Organize files sent via email in the Credit Analysis folder within the G: Drive
  • Coordinate with the Credit Analyst on reports required for Loan Committee each week
  • Enter all financial data in the Optimist analysis software on assigned credits
  • Generate Credit Analysis reports and accounting spreads for Credit Analyst to review
  • Provide assistance to loan officers and loan committee members in the Credit Analyst’s absence
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) of the United States
  • Experience with reading/understanding commercial/consumer financial reports
  • Familiar with reviewing federal income tax returns for corporations, partnerships and individuals
  • Proficiency in MS Excel operations
  • Familiar with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Adobe Reader
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to report to Loan Committee and Board with Analysis findings
  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Preferred 1 year experience in tax accounting/preparation under CPA supervision

  • Evaluate a potential borrower’s loan application, financial capacity, and credit worthiness

Job Duties

Manage and oversee all aspects of the branch functions, including, but not limited to:

  • Ensure proper staffing and handle all personnel aspects for branch
  • Originate and service a loan portfolio
  • Identify and act on delinquent loans
  • Oversee junior loan officer’s portfolio and approve loans within authority
  • Resolve customer concerns
  • Approve or deny daily overdrafts
  • Business development/community involvement
  • Prepare annual budget for branch

Minimum Requirements
  • College degree with a minimum of 3-5 years commercial & real estate lending experience required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills is a must
