OVERDRAFT PRIVILEGE:
How it works
If there is not enough money
available in your checking or designated
overdraft protection account to pay for an
expense, your Overdraft Privilege consent allows
Security State Bank & Trust to consider
authorizing and paying the transaction using our
discretionary overdraft service*
Benefits of Overdraft Privilege:
Convenience
- allows you to make a
purchase even if you don't have the
funds available in your account.
Emergency Backup
- allows you to use your
ATM/Debit card in an emergency
situation.
How Much it Costs
There is no charge for signing up
for this service. If we pay a transaction that
overdraws your account, our standard overdraft
fee of $30 per
item will be assessed. Overdrafts may be
created by check, in-person withdrawal,
ATM/Debit card transaction, or other electronic
means. When an overdraft occurs, you are
responsible for promptly bringing your account
to a positive balance.

In addition to Overdraft
PRIVILEGE we also offer
OVERDRAFT PROTECTION
Overdraft Protection
allows us to automatically transfer money from
another Security State Bank & Trust checking or
savings account to cover a transaction. You
choose the account you want linked as coverage.
If you do not overdraw your account, you will
not be charged. If you do overdraw your account,
there is a $5.00 transfer fee per transaction.
You can give CONSENT for
Overdraft Protection by phone or in person as
outlined above.
* We pay overdrafts at our
discretion and reserve the right not to pay. For
example, we typically do not pay overdrafts if
your account is not in good standing, or you are
not making regular deposits, or you have too
many overdrafts.
